Ideal candidate for this remote/freelance role is a multi-tasking self-starter with strong email production, project management, analytical, and communication skills. Working closely with our in-house Creative Services team, this process-oriented individual will be responsible for formatting and scheduling a variety of email efforts. Position will report to V.P. of Creative Services and will work with a diverse group of individuals, including marketing stakeholders, graphic designers, and web developers.


  • Build/deploy ad hoc and automated email campaigns for and
  • Set up, maintain and troubleshoot triggered campaigns, templates and key program assets
  • Code emails using techniques such as dynamic content, mobile queries, and web tracking
  • Manage email production process, changes and trafficking requests
  • Coordinate scheduling with production assets and provide real-time direction to partners and team members
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders across all stages of campaign development from planning to deployment
  • Manage a brisk, demanding workload which maintaining high standards for established brands
  • Communicate issues impacting production-cycle dependencies and deadlines
  • Attend phone meetings to plan and prioritize requests and adjust course as required
  • Act as the subject matter expert on automated email campaign operations – distribute, communicate and apply best practices and learnings to continually improve results


  • Email production experience and proficient knowledge of CSS, HTML, Excel, responsive email design and Dreamweaver
  • Proven familiarity with email marketing platforms; experience within Silverpop a definite plus
  • Ability to refine/query customer and prospect lists to target specific subsets of master list
  • Working knowledge of and/or direct experience with enterprise-level Email Service Provider and CRM platforms
  • Strong understanding of email and mobile best practices, including tools and technology
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements as they relate to direct marketing and customer management programs (e.g., privacy regulations, CAN-SPAM Act, data management, etc.)
  • Ability to thrive and meet goals and timelines in fast-paced environment and to easily adapt to change
  • Highly motivated and capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience developing more efficient methods of targeting prospects as well as implementing best practices into rolling campaigns
  • Work samples in the form of PSDs (email designs, landing page designs) or links to recently completed html-based emails
  • 3 years minimum experience in email marketing, project management and/or account management


  • BA/BS degree preferred, concentration in marketing desired
